Considering the psychology of recognition and the power of distortion to arrest our attention and stimulate our curiosity, images are created that aim to attract or perhaps repel, but hopefully, to engage the viewer. The work is questioning “are we just the sum of our parts?” I hope by rearranging some of those parts to realise another version of the self.
