The Art House print studio provides professional and accessible facilities for members to experiment with a variety of printmaking techniques and materials. Whether you’re wanting to learn a new process or refresh your printmaking skills, our print technicians are dedicated to nurturing your creative practice no matter your level of experience.
Our Print Memberships include the following:
- Free print studio induction (introduction to our facilities, how to use our machines and equipment)
- Regular access to our printmaking facilities with technician support
- Regular use of our professional printmaking machines and equipment
- Free access to general stationery and printmaking sundries (tapes, newsprint etc)
- Discounted one to one tuition with our technicians at £18.50 p/h
- Discounted printmaking materials (screen exposures, inks, plates, papers etc)
- Discount in our coffee house and shop
Print Memberships
As a registered charity, we strive to make our membership fees as affordable as possible whilst ensuring we are able to invest in maintaining our facilities. We offer a regular and student print membership which are renewed annually:

Student memberships are suitable for students that are still studying or are within 2 years of graduating. We require proof of eligibility in the form of a student ID or graduation certificate.
Print Studio Costs
Once you have joined a member, we charge £3.50 per hour to use our facilities. This includes the use of our machines, printmaking equipment and access to general stationery and printmaking sundries.
Screen exposures, printmaking inks, plates and papers are charged additionally.

If you’re a complete beginner and wanting to delve into the world of printmaking, we can help!
We have a variety of workshops and courses covering all aspects of printmaking that are suitable for beginners. Our tutors will guide you through the whole process ensuring you feel confident and able to continue with the process going forward.
Print Studio One to One
If a workshop setting isn’t for you, we also offer one to one tuition with our expert print technicians at £30 per hour. This is perfect for those that are wanting to learn a new process or need support with a specific project or idea.
