The Art House laser cutter is an accessible and affordable facility for Print Studio members. Regardless of your experience level, we’re able to provide a range of technical support.
Laser cutters are amazingly versatile and can be used not just for cutting, but for etching intricate details onto paper, perspex and wood.
Our HPC Laser Cutter has a bed size of 40x60cm and fast speeds for both cutting and engraving different materials.
Experienced Laser Cutter Users
If you have used a Laser Cutter before, simply call and book yourself in for a quick induction, then you can book sessions as and when you need them. We recommend that you bring your files pre-prepared, although we can offer support in converting files where needed (an additional charge is incurred for technical support). We recommend that for cutting you bring your artwork on a memory stick as a Vector (Illustrator) file. For engraving, we recommend a JPEG or BITMAP image file.

Pricing
Our Laser Cutter is charged for in blocks of 1 hour from as little as £12.50 per hour. Use of the machine with the support of a technician will incur an additional fee. If your artwork needs to be converted before being uploaded to the Laser Cutter, the technician’s time will also be included in the cost. Please contact us for more details on your particular requirements.
To use the laser cutter on an ongoing basis, we recommend that you sign up to become a Print Member. For £55 / £35 (Student Membership) a year you’ll enjoy access to the Laser Cutter and our Print Studio Facilities during any of our open access times.
