The Art House in Wakefield is a small but growing visual arts organisation with ambitious plans for future expansion of our services. You can find out more about our history and our current work in the About section of this website.

Our Board of Trustees is responsible for setting the strategy and policies of The Art House. It provides support and guidance to the CEO/Artistic Director and staff team. We need enthusiastic, skilled, and experienced members of the public, like you, to join our Board and help us realise our vision for the organisation.

We would love to hear from members of the local community in West Yorkshire, as well as those from the wider creative sector, who have one or more of the following skills:

  • Experience of strategic financial management
  • Fundraising for the third sector, or individual donor programmes
  • Commercial business experience and networks
  • Expertise in marketing, communications and media relations
  • Direct knowledge of the arts/creative industries sector
  • Technology, either or both creative and business
