All Saints Yard

All Saints Yard is a new creative activity and events space for Wakefield.

A hidden oasis created below Wakefield’s famous towers. Brought to you by The Art House and The Ridings Shopping Centre.

After some exciting launch events this summer the team are busy planning ‘what next’. Get in touch if you have an idea for All Saints Yard or would like to use the space for your own event!

Artwalk

Artwalk is a cultural late night in Wakefield, established in 2008. It takes place every two months, always on the last Wednesday of the month, starting from January each year. It exists to showcase local, national and international talent in a whole range of settings. Exhibition and event spaces range from the traditional art gallery space, through to historic buildings, cafes, bars, retail outlets and more.

Artwalk is managed by The Art House. Venues programme their own exhibitions and events.

Creative Age

Wednesdays from 10:30 – 13:00 at The Art House
£3 per person, per week.

A weekly art group for older people with dementia and their carers. Inspired by Equal Art’s Creative Age, this project is based in the growing understanding that creativity is intact long after other cognitive functions decline.

Inspire Arts

Inspire Arts are a non-profit, peer led community group who welcome people who have had or are experiencing mental health issues.  Art and craft materials provide a setting for creative stimulation and mutual support.

Studio of Sanctuary

Our Studio of Sanctuary programme aims to use arts, culture and the creative process to bring people together and contribute to the building of a cohesive community that values diversity. The programme offers tailored professional development support and opportunities for artists who happen to be refugees or asylum seekers. A series of free print-based art workshops funded by the Tudor Trust are also included in the programme.

Arts & Health Space

Our Arts & Health Space is dedicated to community projects including Creative Age and Inspire. The accessible room is available to hire and can be adapted to the requirements of a particular group or event.
