Lawefield Primary School Partnership

Our Art programme with Lawefield Lane Primary School aims to use the arts, and the creative process to grow confidence in expressing children’s creativity. With an opportunity to work in the professional environment of The Art House’s maker spaces with workshops taught by wonderful freelance artists.

Re-Emerge: Arts & Health Programme

Thanks to the help of invaluable funding from Leeds Hospitals Charity and NHS Charities Together, The Art House’s Re-Emerge programme is designed to offer a range of therapeutic creative opportunities for Wakefield residents.

From our Maternal Journal group sessions to our Creative Age workshops for people living with Dementia and their carers, we are committed to supporting the diverse needs of our community.

Studio of Sanctuary

We are proud to be the UK’s first Studio of Sanctuary. Our aim is to use art, culture, and the creative process to bring people together and contribute to the building of a cohesive community that values diversity.

We offer tailored professional development support and opportunities for artists who are seeking sanctuary, as well as opportunities for the wider community to learn more about the asylum-seeking process in a creative, non-judgemental environment.
