Wednesdays, starts 15 January 2020
£65 per personBook Now
Develop your skills in bookbinding and continue to practise and learn new stitching and gluing techniques on our three week evening course.
On the first session you’ll work in our professional print studio to produce a range of textured and colourful monoprints which will then be used in the second and third sessions as unique covers and end pages for your books.
You’ll develop your skills and knowledge using pamphlet stitch, stab binding and multi-section book structures. The course will be taught in a step by step way in with tutor advice and guidance. There will also be the opportunity to discuss options for further projects to work on independently.
Who is the course for?
This course is for people who have some previous skills in bookbinding and wish to develop their ideas further. Ideal for those who have attended one of our Introduction to Bookbinding courses previously or for those who would like to refresh their existing knowledge.
Do I need to bring anything?
All tools and materials are provided, along with a set of technical notes. Refreshments will be provided.
Workshop and course bookings can be refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. Our workshops support the work we do as a charity, and because materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
Bookings cannot be transferred between courses, however, bookings can be transferred to another person in the event that you are unable to attend on the day.
In the event that The Art House needs to cancel a workshop, your ticket will be refunded in full.
