Blind embossing (raised) and debossing (indented) uses no ink and is used to highlight a specific area/space/surface producing a clean and distinctive subtle image on paper. You will produce a unique collection of well-defined permanent relief patterns using natural materials, man-made objects and laser cutter cut-outs ‘printed’ onto damp or dry paper leaving delicate and detailed imprints. You will discover how to soak and use a range of papers, you will learn how to use our laser cutter facility to create a variety of shapes or letters and you will use our large etching press to produce your ‘prints’.
