The Wild Escape is a major national ArtFund project uniting hundreds of museums, galleries and primary school children in a celebration of UK wildlife and creativity. Workshops are for children age 7-11 and places are free, but booking is essential.
This workshop will encourage children to relax and relish the therapeutic benefits of exploring imaginary landscapes and the properties of paint. Explore colour, mark-making and natural imagery with local artist Anna McIver, using a range of paints and papers. Create a fantasy habitat for your favourite species and decorate a special box that contains your greatest treasure.

All materials are provided for the workshop. Children will need to bring their own lunch, snacks and a drink with them and should wear clothes that don't matter if they get a little mucky.
