On this one-day workshop you will develop your own bespoke printed textiles, ideal for use in soft furnishings, bags, and other products. Print Designer Ellie Way will guide you through the process to create a simple 2 colour separation stencil which you will then expose and screen print in our professional Print Studio.
This workshop is suitable for anyone from beginners to experienced printmakers looking to develop their practice into textiles.
Who is the course for?
This course is suitable for adults who have basic skills in screen printing. It will be a great opportunity for those with a general understanding of the process to develop their technical printing skills further with tutor advice and guidance.
Do I need to bring anything?
Materials needed for this workshop will be provided on the day. This includes the screen- printing equipment you will be working with, a range of inks and some cotton samples to print onto. You may bring along some simple imagery which you can use as inspiration to create stencils from and any natural fabrics such as cotton or linen to print onto. We will also provide some pre-exposed screens with designs that everyone will be welcome to print with. Refreshments will be provided but you may wish to bring some lunch along with you.
Workshop and course bookings may be cancelled up to 10 working days before the scheduled start date. Our commercial workshops support the work we do as a charity, and because materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than ten working days before the workshop date.
In the event that The Art House needs to cancel a workshop, your ticket will be refunded in full.
Bookings cannot be transferred between courses however bookings can be transferred to another person in the event that you are unable to attend on the day.
