Call for Submissions: Your Tree Tales
Do you have a special memory rooted in nature? A childhood trip to the park, a tree you planted, a quiet moment shared with someone under the leaves? We’re collecting stories for Your Tree Tales – a community anthology celebrating personal connections to green spaces across Wakefield.
Whether it’s a first date, a family picnic, or a favourite tree you return to, these stories shape our emotional map of the places we call home. We want to hear how Wakefield’s nature has touched your life – its parks, woodlands, gardens, or even a single tree outside your window.
Your story, whether individual or part of a group reflection, will help us build a collective portrait of Wakefield’s natural heritage. Why do these places matter to you? What’s your most treasured memory of trees or green spaces in the area?
Selected stories will be shared online as part of an evolving digital archive. Submit yours and be part of celebrating the deep, personal roots we all share with nature.
