Dis:Order is a playful collection of prints by the Leeds-based artist Nat Searle created during her recent MA in Creative Practice. Her work explores everything from big ideas to everyday curiosities, and the unexpected paths that connect them.
Searle’s practice is rooted in playfulness, exploring the interplay of pared‑back graphics, bold colour, and striking shifts in scale. Every day objects become carriers of ideas, while her immediate surroundings provide a constant source of inspiration. Through this, the artist aims to address specific issues and contemporary themes with freshness and wit. Recently, Searle has embraced a ‘low‑tech’ approach to printmaking, experimenting with letterpress, collage, and using Lego to generate new imagery.
