Jolene Mok

20 May 2026 - 19 July 2026

Jolene Mok is a Hong Kong experimental artist, her practice includes video art, analogue film and photography.

Her ongoing project Flora Fungi Film Foray explores the relationship between harvesting, foraging and image making in an analogue format. This will be Mok’s 9th iteration of the project, with previous studies of the local botany including Brussels (Belgium), Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Arizona (USA), La Massana (Andorra), Rauma (Finland) and Nida (Lithuania).

To date, Mok has built an archive of over 500 film strips by sampling the same number of plant and fungal specimens and counting. Mok will continue her project, sampling Wakefield’s flora and fungi whilst developing and investigating eco-friendly developers in TAH’s Darkroom.
