Join us for a fun and inspiring workshop exploring our fully equipped Darkroom to make your own printed photographs.
On this workshop you’ll have the opportunity to print your favourite photographs in the darkroom, alongside our Darkroom Coordinator Emily Ryalls.
These can be any images – from your phone, tablet, film camera, or DSLR. Ahead of the session participants will be contacted to send your photographs to your tutor, giving you the chance to prepare the photographs as digital negatives (printing them on acetate). We will prepare your images ready to print with and will start the session with a demo on how to prepare the digital negative.
We will then, as a class, learn how to operate an enlarger and create high quality prints from your photographs – ready for you to take home.
*Please note bookings will close 2 days before the workshop to allow time for the tutor to prepare your imagery in advance, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is suited to anyone curious about analogue photography and printing photographs in the darkroom.
Do I need to bring anything?
A selection of photographs need to be sent to the workshop tutor ahead of the workshop – you will be contacted and asked to provide these.

Booking Terms & Conditions
Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded (less a 10% administration fee) up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. Our workshops support the work we do as a charity, and because materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date.
Bookings cannot be transferred between courses however bookings can be transferred to another person in the event that you are unable to attend on the day. In the event that The Art House needs to cancel a workshop for any reason, for example due to tutor illness, your ticket will be refunded in full.
