Gather your favourite people and join us for a playful Galentine’s get-together, for a glass of fizz and some creative time spent crafting your own beautiful ceramic keepsake.

Led by ceramist Abbie Brewer of Sunshine Child, this fun, hands-on workshop invites you to get creative as you sculpt your very own ceramic lucky pants. Using simple slab-building techniques, you’ll learn how to shape your clay into a characterful pair of knickers, ready to decorate with your own unique personality.

Once you’ve created your shape, you’ll explore decorating with coloured slips, experimenting with patterns, textures and playful details to make your lucky pants truly one of a kind. Whether you go bold and colourful, add a little cheeky detail or create something inspired by your own sense of humour, there’s plenty of room to let your imagination run wild.

Designed as a relaxed and sociable creative experience, this is a chance to try something new, enjoy a glass of fizz and spend some quality time together away from the everyday. Come along with friends or meet some new faces as you share ideas, have a laugh and discover the joy of making something by hand. No previous ceramics experience is needed, just a willingness to get stuck in and have fun!

What’s included: All the clay and materials needed, glazing and firing, tuition from Abbie Brewer, and a glass of fizz to enjoy during the session.

Sunshine Child is the brand and work of artist Abbie Brewer, stirring joy into her work by depicting emotions we’re all familiar with in our everyday lives and bringing them to our everyday objects.

Sunshine Child hopes to keep the playful child within people alive with her distinctive genderless characters, honing in on universal elements of the human experience in abstract, colourful and unapologetically playful ways.
