Whether you need a single piece fired or an entire kiln load, you can take advantage of our firing services through Kiln Share.
Convenient Local Access
No need to invest in your own kiln – simply drop off your pieces with us and we’ll let you know when they’re ready to collect.
Choose your firings
Kiln share gives you the ability to set your own temperatures and schedule in your firings as frequently or infrequently as you need.
Everything You Need to Know
Our kiln is an EP-73 front loader kiln, the dimensions are;
- Chamber volume – 206 litres
- Chamber Dimensions (W, D, H) 533 x 546 x 749 (mm)
- Each shelf is approximately 50cm Wide and 45cm in Depth
We offer a half and full firing service. Firings are carried out by our ceramic studio coordinator on Mondays every week.
- A half firing starts at £45 – this is two shelves worth of work or one piece standing at approx 35cm tall.
- A full firing is £85 – this is 3 and a half shelves worth of work or large pieces standing at approx 70cm tall.
All work must be dropped off prior to the date of your booking, our technician will get in touch with you to arrange a drop off date and time. We will let you know when your work is ready to be collected.
If you need to cancel your booking for any reason please let us know as soon as possible so your space can be offered to another kiln share user.
If any damage occurs to our kiln during the firing process (i.e damaged kiln shelf or coils) we will charge the user appropriately. If you are unsure of a glaze or clay stability please test accordingly beforehand to avoid damage. Read our full terms and conditions
