Public Transport
The Art House is located just 60 seconds walk from Wakefield Westgate railway station. The free city bus connects us to key locations around the city centre, including Wakefield bus station and The Hepworth Wakefield.

Cycling
The Art House has a cycle station situated on Drury Lane, which is freely available to all. As well as ample bike parking, we also have a cycle repair station for minor repairs and pumping up your tires. Cycles are left at the owner’s own risk, however, the area is monitored by CCTV.

Arriving by car
Planning on driving? The Art House is easy to get to by car and is a short drive from both the M1 and M62 for those travelling into Wakefield.

The Art House does not have a public car park onsite. Our nearest car parks are: Carter Street Car Park, WF1 1XJ, 0.1 miles / 3 min walk; Westgate Carpark, WF1 2TE, 187 ft, 1 min walk; Unity House Car Park, WF1 1ER, 358 ft, 2 min walk; Merchant Gate Car Park – at Westgate Station, WF1 2QN, 0.2 miles , 4 min walk. We do have two designated blue badge spaces onsite. These are usually in-use and booked by our onsite blue badge Studio Holders. On occasion, there may be days/times when visitors are able to pre-book a blue badge bay if they are not in use on the day you plan to visit. To find out if a blue badge space is available, we advise you to call on the morning of your visit.
