Mini-Parade in a Day with Callaloo Carnival Arts
Throughout the day, festival-goers can get hands-on with vibrant carnival creativity. Join Callaloo Carnival Arts’ skilled artists for a Carnival Costume-Making Workshop, a chance to design and make your own simple mask or headpiece, ready to wear in our joyful Freedom Parade. Suitable for all ages and abilities, these drop-in workshops celebrate self-expression, cultural pride, and togetherness.
The day culminates in a colourful participatory Freedom Parade through and around The Art House, set to uplifting carnival music from Callaloo’s own DJ and joined by their spectacular costumed Masqueraders. Whether you’re crafting, dancing, or cheering from the sidelines, this is a celebration of community, creativity, and freedom in motion.
