Beyond Vision: A Sensory Clay Workshop with Dr Victoria Claire

18 October 2025 14:00 - 18 October 2025 16:00

This unique workshop invites you to step beyond the visual and explore creativity through touch, memory, and emotion. Led by artist, researcher, and academic Dr Victoria Claire, this immersive experience offers a rare opportunity to create and connect through the other senses, rather than sight.

Working in darkness, you’ll be guided to trust your hands, your intuition, and your emotional awareness, uncovering a richer, more sensory connection to your creativity.

Part of  Claire’s ongoing PhD research and exhibition The Sense of Sculpture, this workshop forms part of her workshop series Developing an Enhanced Embodied Cognition Using a Sensory Approach. This blindfolded clay-making experience invites you to connect with your senses and discover new ways of experiencing the world.

These workshops are free to attend and contribute to the artist’s research exploring blindness not only as a sensory condition, but as a way of knowing and being in the world. By taking part, you’ll be invited to share your reflections with the artist once the session has ended.
