Jasmine pottery studio is a creative space aiming to bring the joy of pottery to all ages and abilities by providing educational community classes.
Naomi and Pepe are both qualified teachers and their goal is to provide quality classes to adults and children. Naomi previously worked as a community art teacher and is now a practising ceramicist. Pepe is an experienced high school teacher and youth engagement worker. Jasmine Pottery studios believe that clay helps promote wellbeing and has a real positive impact on mental health.
Pottery classes help prevent social isolation and bring people together by learning a new skill that is not often accessible to most community groups.
They aim to create a welcoming space to relax and enjoy the therapeutic qualities of pottery. At their Makey Wakey space they offer pottery painting, clay modelling, beginners pottery classes and 1-1 wheel throwing. They run classes that are suitable for both adults & children and also work with charities and other CICs.
