Spend a morning learning how to print your very own festive cards to send to friends and family this Christmas.
Linocut is a traditional relief printing technique where a print is taken from the surface of a lino block. On this workshop you will learn how to use the tools, equipment and materials to get started in linocut. You’ll carve your own lino, use oil based inks and use our traditional Albion relief printing press to make an edition of unique Christmas cards to send to friends and family. You’ll be guided through the process in a step by step way in our professional print studio.

Who is the workshop for?
Suitable for adults who are complete beginners in linocut as you’ll be guided through the process with expert guidance. Those with some previous experience may also attend to develop their skills and ideas.

All equipment and tools will be provided. Feel free to bring along images/books for inspiration. We recommend wearing old clothes in case you get a bit inky! Please wear sensible shoes with a covered toe – so no sandals, ballet shoes or high heels in the print studio.
