On this workshop you’ll have the opportunity to print your favourite photographs in the darkroom. These can be any images – from your phone, tablet, film camera, or DSLR. Ahead of the session participants will be contacted to send your photographs to your tutor, giving you the chance to prepare the photographs as digital negatives (printing them on acetate). The tutor will have prepared your images ready to print with but will start the session with a demo on how they pre-prepared the digital negative.
We will then, as a class, learn how to operate an enlarger and create a high quality prints from your photographs – ready for you to take home.
*Please note bookings will close 2 days before the workshop to allow time for the tutor to prepare your imagery in advance, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Who is the workshop for?
This workshop is suited to anyone curious about analogue photography and printing photographs in the darkroom.
Do I need to bring anything?
A selection of photographs need to be sent to the workshop tutor ahead of the workshop – you will be contacted and asked to provide these.
Booking Terms and Conditions
Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. Our workshops support the work we do as a charity, and because materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date.
Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable. Bookings cannot be transferred between courses however bookings can be transferred to another person in the event that you are unable to attend on the day. In the event that The Art House needs to cancel a workshop for any reason your ticket will be refunded in full.
