The Wild Escape is a major national ArtFund project uniting hundreds of museums, galleries and primary school children in a celebration of UK wildlife and creativity. Workshops are for children age 7-11 and places are free, but booking is essential

Spend a day in our ceramic studio and make your own pot inspired by nature with professional teaching artist Hannah Way. You’ll learn how play with clay to create your own handbuilt pot, using a range of natural objects we will make impressions into the clay to create your own patterned pieces. At the end of your session you’ll be able to paint your work inspired by nature.

All pieces will be fired and glazed ready for collection three weeks from the end of the workshop.

  • Who is the workshop for?

    This workshop is for children aged 7-11. Take the opportunity to leave the kids to enjoy a creative day at the Art House during the Easter break.

  • Do I need to bring anything?

    All materials are provided for the session. Children will need to bring their own lunch, snacks and a drink with them and should wear clothes that don't matter if they get a little mucky.

Course Booking Terms and Conditions

The Wild Escape series of creative workshops are funded by ArtFund and supported by Arts Council England. Places are free for children to attend, but booking is essential.

In the event that your child can no longer attend this workshop please contact us with at least 48 hours notice so we can offer the place to another participant. Any donations submitted alongside a ticket are non-refundable. If The Art House needs to cancel a workshop for any reason, for example due to tutor illness, we will endeavour to give as much notice as possible.
