Spend the day weaving your very own scarf using a traditional table loom.

Each loom will be set up and ready to use, meaning you can enjoy weaving for the full day. There will be a variety of different yarns to choose from, including different fibres, textures and colours. You will watch group demonstrations as well as receive one to one support as you use the eight shaft table looms to weave your work.

All materials and equipment are provided for use during the workshop.

This workshop is a mixed ability group, ideal for both beginners and those with some previous experience of weaving techniques. Some participants can find weaving all day quite a physical activity. Participants often stand to use the looms though sitting is also an option.

Who is the workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for beginners, or those who have previously attended our basic weaving workshops and would like to progress to using a table loom.

Do I need to bring anything?

All equipment will be provided for you. You may wish to bring some lunch along with you, or you can order light lunches on site from our delicious Coffee House.

Booking Terms & Conditions

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded (less a 10% administration fee) up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. Our workshops support the work we do as a charity, and because materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date.

Bookings cannot be transferred between courses however bookings can be transferred to another person in the event that you are unable to attend on the day. In the event that The Art House needs to cancel a workshop for any reason, for example due to tutor illness, your ticket will be refunded in full.
