Our Specialist Groups

For Re-Emerge, participants are taking part in creative group workshops and activities which include Darkroom photography, printmaking, ceramics, collage and poetry. We have developed a number of specialist groups to better consider the needs of the different people involved in the programme.

Maternal Journal

Maternal Journal uses creative techniques to explore the huge changes, joys and challenges we go through in pregnancy, birth and parenthood. No previous experience is required, and activities include a range of techniques.

Sessions are currently running during term-time at The Art House and Tieve Tara in Airedale. They are for anyone who identifies as a mother and has recently given birth or has a pre-school child, as well as those currently pregnant, and believes the sessions will be of benefit to them.

Creative Age

Creative Age is a group for people living with dementia and their carers. People can attend either alone, as a carer or person with dementia, or together. No previous experience is necessary and the sessions are free to attend.

We run two-hour courses in four-week blocks and provide an opportunity to take some time out of the daily routine, to be creative, maybe try something new, or possibly rekindle an interest from the past.

We are currently working with parents with school-age children as well as refugees and asylum seekers, alongside the Creative Age and Maternal Journal participants.
