Discover the art of silversmithing on this hands-on jewellery making workshop, where you’ll learn how to transform silver into a beautiful, handcrafted wrap ring of your own.

Join Jeweller Genevieve Broughton for an introduction to the techniques and tools used in jewellery making. Suitable for complete beginners and those with previous experience alike, Genevieve will guide you step by step through the process, helping you develop new skills and create a unique piece of jewellery to take home.

You’ll begin by exploring a selection of wrap ring designs before learning how to shape and form your silver using traditional jewellery making tools. As your ring takes shape, you’ll discover how small details can make a big difference to the finished piece, choosing between a classic, polished look or a more textured finish to give your ring its own character.

Working in a small, friendly group, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions, receive individual guidance and enjoy the process of making something by hand. You’ll build confidence as you work with silver and learn some of the fundamental techniques of silversmithing.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your own silver wrap ring, a unique piece to wear, gift or treasure, along with new skills and inspiration to explore jewellery making further.
