The Portrait in Graphite & Charcoal – 6 Week Course

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for early-career artists or beginners who would like to progress in the technicalities of drawing. The course is ideal for those who have attended our Introduction to Drawing & Painting Course previously, and wish to progress further. It will be taught with step-by-step directions and regular tutor advice to build your confidence in drawing with graphite and charcoal.

Do I need to bring anything?

Basic materials will be provided including easels, drawing boards, drawing materials and paper. You are encouraged to bring along some of your own materials to use, your tutor will provide further information about materials at your first session.

Booking Terms & Conditions

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded (less a 10% administration fee) up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. Our workshops support the work we do as a charity, and because materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date.

Bookings cannot be transferred between courses however bookings can be transferred to another person in the event that you are unable to attend on the day. In the event that The Art House needs to cancel a workshop for any reason, for example due to tutor illness, your ticket will be refunded in full.
