Wakefield On Tap is an exhibition looking back and celebrating the iconic pubs, clubs and bars of Wakefield. Hosted in the upper mall of The Ridings Shopping Centre the show opens on Monday 17 May and is free for all to attend. The exhibition aims to commemorate the memories, perspectives and facts surrounding Wakefield and it’s infamous hospitality industry. It is being produced and run by third year Backstage Academy University students as part of a final year project.

Wakefield On Tap will consist of a collection of photographs, artefacts, posters, local perspectives and videos which reflect on the highs and lows of Wakefield’s nightlife. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the exhibition by sharing their perspectives on the hospitality industry. The project aims to encourage conversation between generations and get people looking forward to the future of the merrie city
