About me
I bounced around Lincolnshire in my youth (Lincoln > Scunthorpe > Lincoln > Scunthorpe) developing my passion for the visual arts by way of an Art degree from Uni of Lincoln, before moving to Leeds in 2012 to really immerse myself in the incredible culture on offer in West Yorkshire.

In my spare time, I’m very proud to support Carers Wakefield as vice-chair of the board of trustees. I have a rescue dog named Angus who is much beloved around The Art House office.

And just to throw a curveball in here… I was a Championship line dancer as a teenager, much to the amusement of my colleagues!

Why TAH?
I’ve always believed that people are called to the arts; it’s a vocation, not a job. That’s entirely true of my connection to The Art House.  It wouldn’t be going too far to say that it saved me. After a rough patch with stress, I stumbled across The Art House as I was desperately looking for a way (any way, please!) to find my way back to the arts following several years working for digital agencies. I came for a visit with no idea of what I might find, I left with a recommendation to apply for a maternity cover post. That was in 2017 and I haven’t looked back since.
