Dave Royston is a Wakefield-based printmaker and studio holder at The Art House. Often working from The Art House’s Print Studio, his work primarily focuses on utilising a range of silkscreen techniques.
Royston’s work has a strong focus on pattern and the interaction of colour, often using layering techniques to experiment with complimentary and contrasting colour variations. Whilst working initially on paper, he has more recently developed a range of textiles, which has allowed for further exploration at a greater scale.
Royston uses the finished textile pieces to create a range of bespoke, hand-made items as well as large-scale framed pieces.
Adorning the walls of The Art House shop, selected items by Royston are available for purchase in store and online.
