Welcome to the homeware series! Join local ceramicist Hannah Way in our Ceramics Studio to make pieces for the home.
Shape clay into something both beautiful and practical in this hands-on ceramic bookends workshop. Designed for beginners and experienced makers alike, this session will guide you through the process of hand-building balanced bookends that reflect your personal style.
You’ll learn essential techniques such as slab construction, joining methods, and surface decoration, while exploring how form and weight work together to create functional objects. Whether you prefer clean, minimalist shapes or more expressive, sculptural forms, you’ll have the freedom to experiment and bring your ideas to life.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have crafted a unique pair of bookends perfect for adding a handmade touch to your bookcase. Your pieces will be glazed and fired by our technician, ready for collection within three weeks.
If you really enjoy the workshop, and want to explore your passion for ceramics further, there’s the option to join as a ceramics member – find out more about ceramics membership here!
