Welcome to the homeware series! Join local ceramicist Hannah Way in our Ceramics Studio to make pieces for the home.

In this session, you’ll design and make your own custom clock face, transforming a simple everyday object into a striking piece of home décor.

You’ll be introduced to hand-building techniques such as slab rolling and surface decorating. From bold, graphic designs to organic, tactile surfaces, you’ll have the opportunity to create a clock that reflects your interior style.

We’ll provide all materials, tools, and clock mechanisms, along with guidance throughout the process. Once completed, your clock face will be kiln-fired and assembled, resulting in a fully functional, one-of-a-kind timepiece to take home within three weeks.

Who is the workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for adults who are complete beginners or for those who wish to refresh their previous knowledge. You don’t need to feel confident in clay to start this course as all aspects of the medium are covered.

Do I need to bring anything?

All materials, equipment and tools will be provided. We recommend wearing old clothes or bringing an apron in case you get a bit messy! If you have long hair please tie it back.

Booking Terms & Conditions

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded (less a 10% administration fee) up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. Our workshops support the work we do as a charity, and because materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date.

Bookings cannot be transferred between courses however bookings can be transferred to another person in the event that you are unable to attend on the day. In the event that The Art House needs to cancel a workshop for any reason, for example due to tutor illness, your ticket will be refunded in full.
