Re-Emerge: Arts & Health

What is Re-Emerge?

Thanks to Leeds Hospital Charities and NHS Charities, The Art House has developed a programme to support people across Wakefield, to thrive and develop after the pandemic.

We aim to help people whose mental health has particularly suffered during the pandemic, supporting them to gently re-engage with others in a creative and healthy setting.

Who do we work with?

Our various strands of the programme aim to support specialist groups through a range of workshops; from printmaking to ceramics and many more. We currently operate Maternal Journal, Creative Age and Arts for Health & Wellbeing.

Re-Emerge Exhibition & Zine

The Re-Emerge exhibition launched initially as a one-night-only event, taking place during our July Artwalk 2022, Wakefield’s iconic bi-monthly evening of culture. The show, featuring ceramics, printmaking and photography, brings together work from our Maternal Journal and Arts and Wellbeing workshops.

A zine was also produced in celebration of the wonderful work from our Maternal Journal sessions.
