Salford Loading is a Well Placed temporary use space project which has been running at Quayside MediaCity since 2022. The Art House takes on units which are currently under-used and, together with community partners, give them a new lease of life.
This project helps to facilitate the amazing creativity in Salford and provide the space and support for that to grow. In a struggling economy, it is vital that creatives and communities still have the opportunity to grow, and supporting local has never been more important. We want to create a new kind of ecosystem within the shopping centre environment that sees spaces used in a cycle of both community and commercial use, benefiting everyone who takes part.
The project is currently home to 10 different artists, social enterprises and community based charities.
